Ingredients

Dipping
  • 24 pretzel rods
  • 16 oz semisweet chocolate melting wafers
Decorating
  • 4 oz white chocolate melting wafers
  • 0.33 cup red-and-green holiday sprinkles

Equipment

  • 2 rimmed 18x13-inch baking sheets

Method

  1. Line two rimmed 18x13-inch baking sheets with parchment paper.
Dip and coat the rods
  1. Put the semisweet melting wafers in a tall, microwave-safe measuring cup or narrow bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth.
  2. Dip each pretzel rod about two-thirds of the way into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip back into the cup.
  3. Place the rods on the prepared sheets.
  4. Let stand until the coating is set, about 15 minutes.
Decorate the rods
  1. Microwave the white melting wafers in a clean microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the white chocolate over the rods.
  3. Immediately scatter the holiday sprinkles over them.
  4. Let the rods stand until the decorations are set, about 30 minutes.

Notes

For neat drizzles, make sure the white chocolate is smooth before decorating and add the sprinkles immediately. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks; freeze for up to 2 months. For a dairy-free variation, use dairy-free chocolate melting wafers.
